Hector Barajas
Hector Barajas is a former U.S. Army Paratrooper, the Director of the deported Veteran’s Support House and Founder of the “Bunker”.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1995-2001, was honorably discharged and then was deported to Mexico. In Tijuana, Mexico he runs the Bunker he founded to help other U.S. deported Veteran’s.
Hector Barajas was born in Mexico in 1977 and entered the U.S. with his family in 1984. He received LPR status through the Family Unity Program in 1992. ALL of Barajas immediate family are either naturalized citizen’s or LPR’s. In 1995 Hector enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduating High School until his Honorable Discharge in 2001.
After returning home to his family he found himself in trouble and served a 3 year sentence with half of it being in the California State Prison. In 2004 he was deported and unable to come back to his naturalized daughter and family.
Recently, he received his American citizenship following a gubernatorial pardon and now splits his time between the USA and Mexico advocating for the rights of deported veterans.
